We are seeking an organized, diligent & responsible inventory controller to join our growing team in our food processing warehouse. You will manage inventory through the use of our UBS computerized database system and provide supply chain management according to company guidelines. Your primary objectives will be to maintain accurate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands while minimizing excess supply, maintain updated product data, rectify miscalculations, review, monitor product codes and analyze the results of operations, report findings to management and improve where necessary. Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs. Respond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; process orders for shipment. Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment as well as to nurture positive relationships with suppliers. Those with experience in managing inventory are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • ‘O’ Levels or Diploma, experienced in business operations, logistics, mathematics or related fields preferred
  • Minimum of one year related experience in retail, wholesale, warehousing or logistics
  • Familiar with UBS Inventory software
  • Proficient with computers and other standard office technology
  • Physical ability to lift heavy loads at times, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch
  • Superior organizational & communication skills
  • Review & Apply inventory activities including movements & deletions
  • Maintain & Update inventory records
  • Develop & Implement efficient inventory management procedures
  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies
  • Implement loss prevention program
  • Report stock issues, place product orders as necessary
  • Prepare a list of depleted products & a survey of unusable products
