The Japanese occupation of Singapore occurred between 1942 and 1945. After the fall of Singapore on 15 February 1942.
Singapore was renamed to Syonan-to (昭南島 Shōnantō), which means "Southern Island " This is a Rare piece of history with the Iconic Syonan( 昭南島) as it's heading.Also notice some Japanese wording on it.
Highly collectible as the length of this occupation was relatively short (3yrs06 mths) & it's significant to the development of Singapore's future...i.e total defence & a strong armed forces SAF among others.
