Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the kitchen
  • Willing to go the extra mile to prepare every dish to the best quality they can achieve and have a passion to learn and work with food
  • Cook, prepare, season decorate and present dishes in the best possible ways in order to meet guest's requirements
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Prepare the kitchen for day to day operation with required ingredients
  • Assist the other Chefs if they require help
  • Fill up the positions of the absent staff and complete their duties
  • Report to the kitchen in charge or Head Chef
  • Maintaining sufficient stock and assisting in checking par levels of ingredients in the restaurant
  • Train any new members of the kitchen staff regarding the standard procedures and work culture of the kitchen
  • Clean all the equipment that is used in the kitchen
  • Ensuring you and your team have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
  • Responsible for maintaining the hygiene of the kitchen
  • Monitoring portion and waste cost to maintain cost margin
  • Perform all the tasks in the kitchen other than cooking and serving
  • Strive to improve food preparation and presentations


Requirements:


  • Candidate must possess at least Primary/Secondary School 'O' Level
  • At least 1 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  • Relevant training certificate
  • Able to commit shift, weekends and public holidays
  • Able to work independently and as a team
