Job Scope

You will be part of the HR team to deliver HR solutions to support the attainment of business goals for the departments within the Council. As part of the HR Management team, you will work closely with key stakeholders to review and manage HR policies and frameworks in the areas of recruitment, retention and development, employee engagement and benefits administration. You are expected to build positive working relationships with all stakeholders for effective business partnership. You will also be responsible to plan and implement employee engagement, staff well-being and employee recognition programmes in the Council. You will promote a culture of recognition and appreciation through the introduction and management of various rewards and recognition programmes. You will maintain a pulse on our level of employee engagement through regular engagement surveys and devise strategies for effective employee engagement.

Requirements

University degree with at least 4 years of working experience in a Human Resource role, and preferably with relevant experience in recruitment, employee engagement and communications, and rewards management. You should also possess strong analytical, interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills and with the ability to engage officers at all levels. You are expected to be people-oriented and collaborative in achieving desired outcomes; independent, highly self-motivated and a team player. Meticulous attention to details is necessary as well as the ability to multi-task and work well under tight deadlines. Familiarity with HR practices in the public sector will be an advantage.
