The Associate Strategy Director & Verbal Identity Lead role is to combine our strategic and verbal workstreams, and to ensure the highest quality of strategic and verbal products and services. You will lead and develop a combined high calibre team comprising Senior and Junior Consultants across both verticals, providing them with insight across multiple projects from all stages of development, from conceptual thinking to the final deliverable. This leadership role entails working within a larger multidisciplinary work environment, including active collaboration with the New Business and Creative teams.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Strategic and Verbal Function: 50%

· Internal:

o To develop, design and deploy a combined strategy and verbal offer with a comprehensive and connected suite of products and services, aligned to client requirements and an evolving industry

o To ensure that deadlines and budgets are complete, accurate and followed

o To delegate workflow and tasks to appropriate team members

· External:

o To take strategic and verbal leadership on assigned client accounts

o To integrate client business requirements into brand strategies, marketing, and creative solutions

o To develop and deepen client relationships, in conjunction with programme managers when applicable

People / Process / Department Function: 30%

· To develop and determine staff productivity levels, goal achievements, and opportunities for training interventions, and feedback delivery loop (constructive/developmental)

· To mentor, guide, and provide support for members of the Strategy and Verbal Identity team, and be an advocate for needs of the team to the other stakeholder groups

Revenue, New Business, & Marketing Function: 20%

· To engage in pitch development in conjunction with the New Business team

· To review, access, and partner in the development of proposals and scope of work documents in conjunction with the New Business team


· 8-10 years of total work experience

· 4-5 years of prior marketing or agency experience at a branding, advertising, marketing or related professional services or boutique/start-up firm

· Experience as a practitioner in crafting and presenting brand strategy and verbal identity or related offer

· Experience working in projects across Southeast Asia

· Experience in facilitating workshops, co-creation sessions, design sprints, and developing and deploying new innovative products and services

· Experience in leading and managing client relationships

· Postgraduate degree (MBA, MA, MFA or equivalent) preferred
