Our client is an establish company in the sports industry. They are looking for an Assistant Manager in Sponsorship in this space to grow with them.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop existing and new business development for the Destination to achieve sponsorship targets
  • Responsible for the achievement of targeted sponsorship revenue through collaboration with respective stakeholders
  • Proactively generating ideas linked to Sponsorship opportunities in order to generate sponsorship revenue
  • Plan approaches and pitches and tailor the sponsorship opportunities to existing and new clients
  • Research, strategize and develop lead-sourcing of potential sponsorship prospects and
  • opportunities
  • Prepare and draft documents such as proposals, contracts and timelines to ensure key objectives are met
  • Manage budget from planning, closing of sales, invoicing, to follow up on receivables and payables
  • Collaborate and work closely with inter-departments to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns and objectives
  • Co-ordinate, monitor and follow-up on sponsorship benefits
  • Manage the administrative and logistical requirements associated with the delivery of all sponsorship partnerships
  • Developing long term business relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
  • Ensure timely and relevant updates of projects and deliver quality customer service while keeping deadlines
  • Maintain databases, analysis and reports
  • Attend relevant and appropriate industry events and trade shows to network and build relationships

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Hospitality or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Sponsorship marketing or event management role
  • Possess strong communication skills (verbal and written) and exceptional presentation skills and the
  • capacity to convey ideas in a concise and articulate manner
  • Strong negotiation and objection handling skills
  • Excellent organizational ability and attention to detail with outstanding project management ability
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think out of the box.
  • A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to pitch to and work with senior level executives for sponsorship opportunities
  • Experience working with large teams and functioning independently, exceeding budget targets
  • Prior experience in sponsorship with a proven track record is a plus
  • Entrepreneurial approach and results oriented character.
  • 5-day work week, able to work on weekday nights and weekends including public holidays when rostered.
