Purchasing and Inventory Officer

  • Location: Commonwealth (Near MRT)
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9am - 6pm)
  • Office Environment | Good learning opportunity


Responsibilities:

a) Inventory duties

  • Work closely with stores on weekly Inventory request
  • Ensure all inventories are received, processed and stored efficiently
  • Update Inventory in system and prepare report
  • Check inventory levels and recommend stock replenishment
  • Generate Stock transfer forms on inventories and arrange for stock delivery to Stores
  • Perform Stock take
  • Handle queries from Store and maintain stock control
  • Housekeeping of Warehouse on regular basis

b) Purchasing Duties

  • Communicate and sourcing of products with suppliers on Purchase Orders and arrange timely delivery of goods purchased
  • Prepare Purchase Orders on purchases to support day-to-day operation
  • Matching of Purchase Order with Delivery order and Supplier invoices
  • Processing vendors invoice into system
  • Liaise with vendors on payment and prepare payment for approval
  • Prepare accounting documents, update/maintain monthly accounting records
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE "O" level and equivalent
  • Preferably 2-3 years relevant experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office especially Microsoft Excel
  • Independent, reliable and willing to learn
  • Physically fit as require to move heavy stock (up to 25 kg) and pack inventory
  • Experienced in warehouse handling inventory for F&B will be an added advantage
