FAILED IN YOUR WSQ ATO APPLICATION?
- Date Listed16/08/2019
Do not be disheartened. It probably means that you have missed out on some important information which you hadn't thought of.
It's Not Just Another Govt Dept Application
Applicants to become WSQ ATOs usually treat an ATO application as a typical government application submission. They assume that all they need to do is to compile and comply to a long list of "requirements" as stipulated in the application form - and the accreditation will come automatically.
Some may have even attended a seminar or course on how to apply for ATO but guess what? You will be told the same thing you can find on the internet or on SkillsFuture webs site. Maybe you did get anecdotes on a few failed applications and even some suggestions. But were they of any use?
What Your Application Needs To Demonstrate
As a WSQ CIR & ISO 29990 consultant, who has assisted dozens of successful WSQ ATO applicants and carried out their internal audits, I would like to share with you that all the list of requirements are just a list.
The truth is that there are a few crucial steps in an ATO application:
1. Preparing your startup premise and system capabilities
2. Drafting out your 3 to 5-year business plan
3. Application for accreditation (OA & CA)
How You Will Fail
If you cannot demonstrate detailed expertise and domain knowledge in preparing the above three items, it will show through in your application. And you are likely to fail.
So, if one were to jump into an application by simply quickly filling in the forms and ticking off the list of requirements, he would be shooting in the dark.
How You Can Succeed
One has to remember that a submission to apply to become an ATO requires certain amount of ground work first before you even begin your application process.
No matter how great your submission looks, if you did not prepare your ground work, it won't work. So, let the real framework expert show you how we can do it properly and successfully.
